Its super-bright LED light has been proven to relieve symptoms of Seasonal Affective Disorder (SAD), depression, sleep disorders, jet lag, and other conditions. With regular use of PER3, you can enjoy more healthy sleeping patterns, banish "winter blues," and even indulge in a bit of bedtime reading with glare-free, bright and clear LED illumination.

Are you, or is someone you know, suffering from symptoms of SAD? Take this handy self test to find out.

How the Deluxe Light Therapy Lamp Works
PER3 emits the wavelength and intensity of light that has been proven to improve health and general well-being. The PER3 works to subtly reset your internal cycles, adjusting your body clock with its light therapy program.

The PER3's Natural Light Alarm Clock with a programmable dawn and dusk simulator uses proven technology to ease you into waking and sleep states. This subtle light therapy helps keep your spirits high and set you on a standard time zone or work schedule. The PER3 also serves as a glare-free bedside reading lamp; its clear bright light is highly beneficial for reading.

The PER3 boosts your exposure to light in the early morning hours, simulating the exposure you'd receive on a sunny summer morning.
Dawn and Dusk Simulation Therapy
With its naturalistic dawn simulation and bright light therapy, the PER3 mimics both the gradually increasing light of sunrise as well as the progressively fading light of sunset. Your body reacts to these gentle changes by recalibrating its internal clock, or circadian rhythms. This results in more balanced and restful sleep cycles, even in instances of night shift work or long distance travel.

It has been clinically proven that exposure to light in the early morning hours is most effective for treating SAD. The PER3's naturalistic dawn stimulation therapy has antidepressant properties. When you awake with a gentle dawn-simulation alarm clock, you are able to treat symptoms of SAD easily and effectively, without needing supplemental short sessions of bright light therapy later in the day.

A Host of Benefits
Useful for insomnia, fitful sleep, and difficulties waking in the morning, the PER3's naturalistic dawn simulation therapy has no negative side effects. This attractive lamp enables you to support the body's natural processes and combat the stress associated with modern and hectic 24/7 schedules. PER3's swivel arm and pivot head features allow you to easily adjust the direction of the LED light so you can receive your light treatment as soon as you wake up, bathing the face evenly in therapeutic light.

Other great benefits:

  • Twice as effective at reversing SAD symptoms, thanks to naturalist dawn simulation therapy and bright light therapy
  • Eliminates the 30 minutes necessary for conventional morning light therapy
  • No UV rays; powered by solely non-invasive technology
  • Long lasting (up to 100,000 hours)
  • Energy efficient (consumes only 1/10 the power of incandescent lights)
  • As portable and versatile as an alarm clock or reading lamp
Clinical Study Conclusions
Case studies using a combination of dawn and dusk signals are very promising. These signals can help produce smoother sleep onset. Researchers at Columbia University Medical School conclude: "Twilight exposure appears able to promote circadian phase adjustments, morning melatonin suppression, regularized sleep patterns, and antidepressant responses."

Accolades for PER3's Delux Light Therapy Lamp
PER3 has been singled out by doctors at the Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston as being "best of breed" when recommending light therapy to their patients with SAD.

Open Question: Is my college essay any good? ?
Ok So here is my college essay it's just a rough draft idea paper I have had so many thing happen in my life and i didnt want to write about everything so i basically just fouced on my mom and my education... It's engrossing to hear about a foolish teen, it's depressing to cry about a lost loved one, it's funny to think about the crazy memories of the past, and yet they are parts of everyone's life. We all start off in life ignorant of why things happen unsure about decisions we make, and questioning about the world around us. The experiences that we all go through teach us a little more about ourselves everyday. To look back at my own past and to write of my own present situations is bittersweet, and to dream of the future is something I need to do, that we all need to do, to learn more about ourselves. My story is unique, for I am a human being with memories and emotions that add to the collective remembrances of my life. I had a very unique and unusual education. I was home schooled first but as I like to called it unschooled. The usual questions people would often ask were "Do you get to wake up when ever you want?" "How does that work, who teaches you?" "So you follow the same curriculum as me?" Truth was no one really taught me, I didn't follow a curriculum and I woke up usually by 12pm. But how could I tell someone that? How could I possibly explain how I couldn't even spell my middle name at the age of nine? So I lied. I lied, my brothers lied, and my sister lied. Lied for our parents and lied for ourselves. Some days my mother would wake us up somewhat early and sit us down to learn something, but it never lasted long, an hour at most. But I would still be lying if I told you I didn't learn anything. I learned about life, tragedy, love and so much more, but little did I know that I would learn so much more in the up coming years about life and about myself. In 2006 on July 24h my mother died, and along with her a piece of me did too. My mother taught me many things, maybe not how to write a proper sentence or graph a math problem but she taught me something much greater then that. She taught me how to love and find joy in the simple things in life. I wouldn?t change a thing about my childhood. I used to tell myself when I was a little girl and my father used to come home drunk that everything happened for a reason. When I use to see my friends buy back to school clothes in the fall I would whisper everything happens for a reason, when my grandmother died and soon after my aunt, I said, everything happens for a reason. When my mother passed just two years ago I cried and asked God what could be the reason. Needles to say God didn?t come down from haven and tell me what the reasons for all the things that had happened in my life. When I was sixteen just two years ago I made had to make a decision. I could lay there and die, or do something with my life. Needless to say I chose to do something with my life. To continue my education no matter what it took. Since then I have done so and am further more doing so while writing this essay for college. My struggle has been long and hard but for the memory of my mother and for myself I humbly and greatly honored and ready for anymore challenges and gifts life and God will send, and I am now confided in myself that I can overcome and do anything, and I strongly believe you can do anything you set your mind to. It's engrossing to hear about a foolish teen, it's depressing to cry about a lost loved one, it's funny to think about the crazy memories of the past, and yet they are parts of everyone's life. We all start off in life ignorant of why things happen unsure about decisions we make, and questioning about the world around. I make my own future. And yes I will be going to a teacher for proof reading. (more...)

Resolved Question: PLEASE READ***Christmas gifts for mom and dad!?
ok heres my idea for gifts for parents. they r divorced, so a combined gift wouldnt work. i was thinking about getting them a copy of the same picture and framing it and giving it to them. where i live, it snows a lot, and when we have snowdays my friend usually comes to my house for the day. i was thinking, that on a snow day(has to be a good amount of snow) my friend could take pictures of me, my sister and my horse(big and black, great contrast against white snow) while my parents r at work. then i could give them the pictures, framed, at christmas. now i want an additional gift for both of them. i was thinking about making my mom a scarf. but im afraid that she wont wear it bc she likes fashionable almost hippie looking scarves. xD and all i can make r fuzzy slender ones. does anyone know a place a find a scarf that she would like w/neutral earthy colors? or some yarn? now heres the big problem....i am stumped on what to get for my dad. he is into sports, especially football, but is really thoughtful and smart. he loves to cook and is a great father. i just dont know what to get him. =[ o yeah and hes a single dad. What should i do?Please help! any ideas or advice is welcome! Thanks (more...)

Voting Question: Fanfiction story someone BETA.please?
Alright so I'm writing a fanfiction for the story Twilight. And I need someone who is good with grammar to help me fix this. Like a BETA-since I can't find one. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- BPOV... It was around 3 in the afternoon and I was in the car with Jacob, we were coming from the mall getting some last minute decorations and now he was giving me a lift to Alice's house. I was extremely excited.. I was officially 16!! And I had my first kiss yesterday night, and I have been replaying it in my head over and over the whole day... After Jacob dropped Embry and Leah off he drove me home and when I was about to leave-the next thing I know his lips smashed into mine.. I never imagined it to be so wet, warm..and mind blowing. When he pulled off, I had to lean in again for some more action-it was just that good, the way his tongue brushed against mines and his thick lips on me...felt amazing... After that I had to call Alice and tell her everything, including the fact that he said I was good kisser. Which really made my night, and was by far the most flattering thing any one has ever said to me. I would never have imagine that I would get my first kiss any time soon-it all feels so weird like if I'm growing up too fast... But anyways, today I pretty much spent the morning with my dad (he made me breakfast), and my mom called afterwards. I didn't get presents from neither...but the party would be enough-I could wait till Christmas for gifts... Jacob and I had spent the early afternoon together on my birthday... NEVER would I imagine spending my birthday with a guy shopping and making out..It all seemed to weird but now it was time for me to hang with Alice and get started on the decorations.. ?so, are you excited?? he asked while taking a left turn I nodded feeling the cheesy smile on my face ?I'm psyched? He started chuckling, resting his arm at my seat while the other hand was on the wheel ?oh yeah..my friends are going to bring some booze. Will that be cool? ?no, I told you we'll have, my friends are bringing beer and that's enough.? I said, now taking off my seatbelt ?well actually it might not, I'm bringing like 10 guys..and they like to drink.? ?what-no fucking way-then don't even bring your college friends..this party is rated pg13...? I said ?what are you trying to say?? he asked amused ?I'm not trying to say anything-I'm saying it..? I was now adjusting my body to face him ?I don't want any rated r stuff going on... Jacob-almost everyone there would be a minor..? ?jeez, Bella all we want is to have a good time-dancing, nothing like that..? he said, now pulling over. ?alright but what happens if your friends do get drunk?? ?well they are going to get drunk...many people are going to get drunk Bella-it's bond to happen. But if they get too wild or anything than I'll take care of it? he said now leaning towards me with a cocky smile ?good. I take it your not drinking?? I asked, feeling suddenly hot now that our faces were inches apart. ?yeah I am-but not enough to get drunk.? he whispered ?good? I said and started grabbing the bags on by feet but he pulled my hands up, grabbing both hands with his one huge hand.. ?hold on-hold on? I held back a smile knowing what he wanted, and pressed my lips against his-slowly and softly I moved my lips with his and then lightly brushed my tongue on his bottom lip which I took note of last night when he did this to me. Jacob took my face into his hands and started kissing me back, much rougher than when we were at the mall... I finally pulled off ?alright-alright you freak? I joked ?I'll see you later? He chuckled ?sure-sure? ?kay buh bye? I said, opening the door and running to the house. ... By 4pm we already had the huge living room and kitchen decorated. Alice's mom helped us cover the walls with a red plastic cloth so it can make it look like it weren't a living room. The couch was moved into the guest room, and we bought this other separate couch they had-which was more wider and it was a solid color which would fit well with neon environment. After her mother left for the weekend, with Alice's step father as well-we continued with the decorating. I posted random posters of Duran Duran, I love the 80's, Billy Idol, Madonna, Wham! and other random things like McDonalds ad pictures and other 80's related stuff. Alice started checking to see the Jello shots she had made 2 hours ago, and I went ahead decorating the center piece..putting cassettes on the gold table cloth and filling in the large bowl with popular candies from the 80's like pop rocks, nerds, and chicklets... I looked around taking in everything, it all seemed pretty cool..the neon rope lights and the checkered streamers were a great idea-but we were missing colorful cups and napkins which Tia said she would bring.. While taping the colorful balloons and lay (more...)

Resolved Question: half sisters and christmas?
Ok this might get a little confusing but here it goes.. My husband has a 5 yr old from before me, and we have a 5 week old daughter too. <3. My parents have already bought our daughter a ton of stuff for christmas.. blankets and clothes, not so much toys but things we need for her in general, and they only bought my stepdaughter one toy. My stepdaughter doesn't live with us, she lives with her mom by the way. Now, my husband and his ex were talking about christmas and who would get her when and present ideas etc. And for some reason he was telling her all the things my parents got our daughter for christmas ( I think he was a little excited ) and he said they got their daughter one present too, which he thought was fair seeing as my parents have never met my stepdaughter, they did it beacause I asked them too. Well his ex blew up at us, saying it was unfair and that we loved one child more and my parents loved our kid more and this and that. Well my husband and I love both kids equally and always treat them equally but OFCOURSE my parents love our daughter more!.. its their only grand child and they've never even met my stepdaughter. So now his ex won't let her come over for christmas unless we even up the gifts, which would be reasonable under other cirsumstances but not now because.. We were planning on going to my parents house when his daughter wasn't with us, just because traveling there takes a while and we could only get his daughter for a couple days and then have to bring her back. So when we went to see my parents we would have just brought her gift back to her. But the other unfair thing is my stepdaughters grandparents ( her mothers mother and father ) buy her LOADS of gifts so she will really probably end up getting more presents than my daughter, and I'm not making a huge fuss saying they have to buy my daughter presents when they've never even met her. I just don't know how to deal with this stuff in general, and since then theres been talking of like.. well my relatives are buying my daughter things for christmas and not my stepdaughter because they never met her,and visa versa. I'm more worried about this stuff when they get older, and are more aware of this. Because I'm sure my stepdaughters relatives will buy things that my daughter won't have and visa versa.. So my real question is how do you keep it equal? It is impossible for my stepdaughter to meet my parents, they live across the country and my stepdaughters mom wont let her go that far. And I understand I married a man with a kid and now she is mine too ( kind of ) but the marriage was my choice and not my parents so they shouldnt have to pay for it. (more...)
