My husband and I, along with my in-laws will be travelling by car for a 2 day drive, in different vechiles, we have a 2 year old son, and he'll be travelling with us too. The drive is pretty long and we're leaving at his bed time, but then its a really long drive, and then a day and a half into our drive we will be taking a 8 hour ferry ride, when finished the ferry ride we have another 5 hours until we reach our destination. I know this is a really long drive for him but we dont have a choice, and we cant stop for break at hotels.....we will be stopping for a couple meals, and gas etc. he's still in pull-ups, and i bought some snacks and that, and we purchased a portable dvd player for him and some New dvds. Any tips? Anything I need to remember to bring in the car with us? I'm afraid i'm going to forget something important. (more...)

I already have a ipod nano, 2nd generation- with no video. I really don't love it as much as some people do.. I just need an mp3/video player, mainly for videos and movies though. That would be the only reason I'd buy it. I'd love a nice screen, great sound, and easy conversion of videos/music videos. And it has to be able to convert my own dvd's.. I just am stuck with what to choose! BUT NO IPODS OR ZUNES. Okay? I don't like them. PERIOD! I was thinking of a Samsung P2, but I'd never use bluetooth & I don't know if I'd be a fan of the touch screen. I was also looking at a Phillips Flash audio/video player (SA6185/37). I don't have a big budget- just under 200$ please. It's a christmas present from my dad, by the way. He has asked me what I would like.. and I really want a good, easy to use portable Video Player.
